JIC Feature Fan: Rory Smith

16 March 2020

We look back through our featured Junior Iron Club members this season, with each selected participant answering questions for the matchday programme before getting an opportunity to interview an Iron player.

Rory Smith was our first member to get the chance to take part, with the then-eight-year-old featured in the new-look Junior Iron Mini Mag for our younger supporters. He also got the opportunity to interview defender Jordan Clarke, asking him his choice of questions.

This interview was featured in our programme when we faced Swindon Town on the opening day of the season.

Here's his interview, plus Jordan Clarke's answers...

Name: Rory Smith
Age: Eight
Were you a JIC member in 2018-19? Yes
What's the best thing about being a JIC member? Being able to meet all the players at the Christmas party.

Tell us about your favourite game: My favourite game was where Josh Morris curled in a right-footed goal against Charlton Athletic in 2017-18. We won 2-0 and he scored them both.

Tell us your favourite parts of matchday: Being able to sit with my best friend and watch the game and also being able to talk to James and Corey and watch them do the half-time challenges.
