SCENE-SETTER
United will be looking to bounce back following a 6-2 defeat against Lincoln City at Riseholme on Saturday.
Despite a lot of chances, the Imps took a 4-0 lead before Aidan Train and Joey Dawson both netted, with Lincoln adding two further goals to their tally to avenge for the 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture.
League leaders Doncaster Rovers beat Huddersfield Town 6-2 away from home to extend their lead at the top of the table, but this encounter is one of the four games in hand the Iron currently hold over the Yorkshire side. United remain in second as Mansfield failed to take advantage of the slip up as they themselves lost 3-0 against 10th placed Bradford City.
TEAM NEWS
United finally got a game at the weekend for the first time in six weeks following a combination of the festive period, pitch postponements and illness and injuries in recent weeks.
That will have led to a rusty performance at the weekend, but the side will be keen to get back to winning ways, with an opportunity to cut Doncaster's lead back to two points.
Tom Collins could come back in between the sticks after assuming the role of Rory Watson's understudy, but with Ian Lawlor arriving on loan from Doncaster Rovers, he is expected to return to the youth set-up.
