Scott Oldham will be the man in the middle for the Iron's home league clash against Newport County on Saturday.
The Lancashire-based official will travel to the Sands Venue Stadium for his 24th game of the campaign and his ninth in Sky Bet League Two.
His first game of the campaign came on the second weekend of the season when he oversaw Portsmouth's 2-0 home win over Tranmere Rovers in Sky Bet League One, showing two yellow cards. His most recent game was on New Year's Day, taking charge of Burton Albion's 4-3 away win at Bolton Wanderers. On that day, he issued three yellows and a red.
He's taken charge of the Iron on three previous occasions, back in October 2017 when the side beat Oldham Athletic 3-2 at SportsDirect.com Park. On that night, he issued three cautions before taking charge of a 1-0 defeat away at Walsall in December 2017, issuing two yellow cards. He most recently oversaw the 4-1 home loss to Plymouth last season, showing four cautions. In total, he's shown nine yellow cards across the three fixtures.
Meanwhile, he's only been involved in a Newport County fixture once, with that game coming at Sincil Bank almost two years ago. Lincoln City won that game 3-1 and Oldham issued four yellow cards.
In 2017-18 - his debut campaign in the EFL - he took charge of 31 games, issuing 79 yellow cards and five reds. In 2018-19, he officiated in 34 encounters, showing 99 yellows and one red, while so far this season, he's shown 68 yellow cards and three reds in 23 games.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Declan Ford and Hristo Karaivanov, while Alan Clayton has been appointed as the fourth official.
