Scunthorpe United can confirm that an appeal following Kevin van Veen’s red card at Northampton Town has seen the dismissal successfully rescinded.
The striker was sent off by referee Sam Purkiss in the 37th minute of Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat against Northampton Town for alleged violent conduct, which would have resulted in a three-game ban.
The club filed an appeal on Thursday morning and received confirmation that the punishment had been overturned that afternoon.
