Kevin Johnson will be the man in the middle for the Iron's away Leasing.com Trophy quarter-final clash against Portsmouth.
The Weston-super-Mare-based official will travel to Fratton Park for his 23rd game of the campaign and his eighth in Sky Bet League Two.
His first game of the campaign was Salford City's first-ever match in the EFL as he opened the season with a TV game against Stevenage at the Peninsula Stadium. The Ammies ran out 2-0 winners, with Johnson showing one caution. His most recent game in the middle came last midweek when he oversaw the goalless draw between Stevenage and Oldham Athletic, showing four yellow cards.
Meanwhile, his most recent appointment came at the weekend as fourth official, standing on the sidelines in the encounter between Queens Park Rangers and Leeds United in the Championship.
He's taken charge of the Iron on five occasions in total, most recently in Octobe 2018 when the Iron narrowly lost to eventual Champions of League One Luton Town, showing two yellow cards. Prior to that, United beat Charlton Athletic 2-0 at the Sands Venue Stadium with two wonder strikes from Josh Morris in the space of three second half minutes. On that night, he issued three cautions.
In the five games refereeing Scunthorpe, he's issued 18 yellow cards and no reds.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Portsmouth on eight occasions - their most recent being a 3-3 draw against Coventry City in which he sent off two Sky Blues players for second yellow cards. Of the eight games, three of those have come at Fratton Park, so Tuesday will be his fourth competitive visit to the stadium.
Across the eight games involving Pompey, he's shown 27 yellow cards and two reds.
In 2018-19, he took charge of 42 games, issuing 130 yellow cards and six reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in 22 encounters, showing 75 yellows and six reds.
On Tuesday, Johnson will be assisted by Anthony Da Costa and Gregory Read, while Will Finnie has been appointed as the fourth official.
