The Iron Under-18 side’s home clash against Burton Albion, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and on safety grounds.
The forecast for Saturday predicts a 90 per cent probability of heavy rain from 8am through to 2pm and further rain throughout the afternoon. In addition, wind gusts are predicted at between 40 and 50 mph.
In the interest of everyone's health and safety, wellbeing and to safeguard all players, officials, parents and staff, the game will be postponed and a new date found.
