SCENE-SETTER...

Scunthorpe come into the match looking for their first league win since New Year's Day, when they dispatched of Oldham Athletic 2-0 at Boundary Park.

Last weekend, United were defeated 3-1 by Crawley Town at the People's Pension Stadium. Though they created a number of chances, Russ Wilcox said after that the side had to be better in both boxes.

Our visitors head into the weekend sitting seventh in the division, in the final play-off place, and looking to build on a 2-1 home victory over Morecambe. That success secured through goals from Conor Thomas and Alfie May.

TEAM NEWS...

United will continue to be without on-loan defender Junior Brown, who will miss at least another week with a medial ligament injury.

Rory McArdle (hamstring) will also be assessed after missing the last six matches through that injury and illness prior.

Yann Songo'o (knee) received game time in the Under-23s last Monday and, should he be involved on Saturday, would still take part in a game for them next week to increase his match fitness.

Elsewhere, Jordan Clarke could return sooner than originally anticipated from a calf injury, as he was originally out until late April. Meanwhile, Kgosi Ntlhe faces a month out with an Achilles injury.

Jordan Hallam (hamstring) remains absent, though is nearing a return to contention, while Regan Slater (ankle) is likely to be out until the end of February at least.

PAST MEETINGS...

Lee Novak was on target but United eventually suffered a 4-1 away defeat against the Robins back in August.

Our last home game against them was in October 2013, in a game which saw Etienne Esajas and Sam Winnall score.
