Chris Pollard will take charge of the Iron's home league encounter against Crawley Town on Saturday.

The match will be his 21st of the season and 12th in Sky Bet League Two.

The 37-year-old was officiating on both the National League and the Premier League 2 competitions in 2018-19, but has made the step up to the EFL after 11 years of refereeing.

His first game on Sky Bet League Two came a one the second weekend of the campaign back in August at the OneCall Stadium when he took charge of Mansfield Town's 2-2 draw with Morecambe. In the encounter, he issued four cautions and one red card. Meanwhile, his most recent game saw him officiate in Cambridge United's 4-0 home defeat to Salford City, showing five cautions.

He took charge of the Iron back in August, overseeing the 2-2 draw with Crawley Town, while his involvement with the Robins was a goalless draw with Grimsby Town back in November.

Last season, he took charge of a total of 16 matches in the National League, showing 61 yellow cards and no reds. So far this season, in 20 games, he's shown 60 yellows and two reds.
