Will Finnie will take charge of the Iron's home league encounter against Barrow on Tuesday.

The Luton-based referee arrives at the Sands Venue Stadium for his 16th game of the season and his sixth in Sky Bet League Two. The current campaign is his second as an EFL official.

Incidentally, Finnie's first-ever game on the EFL was involving the Iron as he took charge of the season opener against Swindon Town last year. He issued two cautions on the day - to Harrison McGahey and Andy Butler. This will be his second match involving Scunthorpe.

His first game of the current season came at Portman Road when he oversaw Ipswich Town's 3-0 home win over Bristol Rovers in the Carabao Cup. Three yellow cards were shown. His latest game was on December 8th at stadium: mk when MK Dons beat Norwich City Under-21s 6-0, with one yellow card shown.

He's shown two red cards this season, both of which in the same game, with both Paudie O'Connor and Anthony O'Connor given their marching orders in Bradford's away draw at Forest Green Rovers.

He's yet to officiate in an encounter involving Barrow, so Tuesday will be his first involving the Bluebirds.

Last year, he officiated in 27 encounters showing 103 yellows and two reds. So far this season, he has shown 40 yellow cards and two reds in 15 matches.

On Tuesday, Finnie will be assisted by Alan Clayton and Kenwyn Hughes, while Daniel Middleton has been appointed as the fourth official.
