The goal edged out Adam Hammill's debut goal against Sunderland by 2.6% of the vote, while
Iron fans have been whittling down our 2019 selection throughout lockdown, with us first selecting the goals of the month this season up until the end of the calendar year. The likes of Abo Eisa's strike against Forest Green Rovers had overcome three votes just to get to the final of the competition.
The first two goals - Hammill and Perch - made it through to the final thanks to having the highest percentage vote from all the months, while the other two were the respective winners from the two semi-finals we held last week.
A final vote for your goal of 2019 has concluded on Twitter. Below were the four candidates:
GOAL | SCORER | OPPOSITION | MONTH | VOTE |
A | Adam Hammill | Sunderland | January | 29.6% |
B | Kevin van Veen | Grimsby Town | September | 25% |
C | James Perch | Exeter City | October | 32.2% |
D | Abo Eisa | Forest Green Rovers | December | 13.2% |
