Scunthorpe United FC Academy play their Foundation Phase (U9-U11) and Youth Development Phase (U12-U16) games on Sunday mornings at St Lawrence Academy, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe, DN15 7DF.
The games programme operates from September through to May each season, with matches kicking off at 10:30am.
We are looking for referees who are interested in working with the academy and officiating at our official English Football League Academy games.
Match officials have the use of the Academy changing and showering rooms and we pay match fees for all games officiated at.
The developmental nature of academy games is an ideal environment for referees of all ages - our players and parents have to adhere to a strict code of conduct which results in a learning/development environment which allows players and match officials to develop and progress.
If you are interested in working with the Academy of a professional football club then please contact Ian James (Academy Administrator) at ian.james@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
Referees younger than 16 years of age will not require a DBS.
Referees aged 16 and over will require a DBS, which the Academy will assist you with.
