Scunthorpe United are once again supporting the Baby Dinosaurs All Wrapped Up Christmas Gift Appeal.
The Sands Venue Stadium will be a dedicated drop-off point for the appeal during the month of November, while our home game on Saturday 23rd against Port Vale will see volunteers attending the game with a dedicated drop-off point before kick-off.
They will be near the Iron Bar on Saturday, and have a specific shortage of 1-3 & 10-13 year gifts.
The first appeal last year gave 539 children, from new born to teenagers, across North Lincolnshire and Yorkshire the opportunity to open presents on Christmas Day.
The toy appeal is asking for donations of brand-new toys (unwrapped) which are then wrapped by volunteers and given to nominated families in your area. All gifts donated in an area, stays in which referrals are given. So be assured, that your gift will go to a local child near you.

Our process is like no other as not only do we collect the toys but we also give it that Baby Dinosaurs personalised touch. We hold special wrapping days, to wrap them, gift tag and bow each present individually to give it that special touch for a child who won’t receive a present this Christmas.
Every professional involved in the appeal sends us a referral of name age, gender and area of the families in their care. That way we know we can cover every single child with the appropriate gift and ensure no one is left out.
We have also organised three wrapping days, where volunteers can come and help Baby Dinosaurs wrap the children’s presents. These will be held at Normanby Country Golf Club, Frenchgate Shopping Centre and Holiday Inn Express.
Each day with have three different slots, everyone is welcome to attend one or all. Of course we hugely appreciate your support, so if the times don’t suit. You can let us know and pop in, when it is convenient. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
