Park Tigers U12s enjoy tour and flag bearing experience

11 March 2019

Local junior football side Park Tigers U12s were able to form a guard of honour for both the Iron and Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Twelve players from the side were present to enjoy the experience, which saw them allowed onto the pitch prior to kick-off for a flag bearing experience.

They welcomed both teams onto the pitch, taking advantage of group booking prices, before enjoying the encounter against the Gas from the Lincolnshire Co-op Family Zone of the SPB Stand.

Prior to the game, the side were also taken on a tour of the usually restricted areas of Glanford Park. They were able to sit in the home dugout before visiting the press room, the referee's changing room and the boot room.

The group also entered the home dressing room for pictures and autographs before awaiting the final arrivals outside the players entrance. The group were also able to see the opposition team coach arrive.

We are now sold out of flag bearing packages for the 2018-19 campaign. We are, however, taking interest ahead of the 2019-20 season.

If you'd like to register your interest to get your Grassroots side involved in future, please email james.moody@scunthorpe-united.co.uk
