Craig Hicks will be the man in the middle for the Iron's home league clash against Sunderland on Saturday.
The Surrey-based official will travel to Glanford Park for his 28th game of the campaign and 11th in Sky Bet League One. The current campaign is Hicks' second in the EFL.
His first game of the campaign was a League One affair between Southend United and Doncaster Rovers which the visitors won 3-2. On that day, he issued seven yellow cards.
Meanwhile, his most recent league game saw him show no cards in Portsmouth's 2-0 away victory over Southend United in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Hicks has taken charge of just one previous Iron fixture, ironically at Roots Hall, when the Shrimpers won 3-2 following a stoppage time Michael Turner winner. Cameron Burgess was sent off in that game for two yellow cards.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Sunderland on one past occasion too. That came at Walsall back in November 2018 when the Black Cats drew 2-2. On that day, he issued three yellow cards and one red - including a straight red card for Max Power, his third dismissal of the campaign.
In 2017-18, he took charge of 38 games, issuing 124 yellow cards and six reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in 27 encounters, showing 87 yellows and five red cards.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Matthew Parry and David Benton, while Richard Wigglesworth has been appointed as the fourth official.
