Two days after signing on loan, the Leeds left-back was named on the bench by Stuart McCall at Barnsley last weekend and he was pleased with what he saw from the team.
That match came too soon for Pearce, who had trained just once with the squad after he signed on transfer deadline day.
After a week at Scunthorpe, the 20-year-old spoke to iFollow Iron about how he has settled in at the club.
“It has been good,” said Pearce.
“All of the lads have been very welcoming – they are a great set of lads and training has been enjoyable.
“It has been a good standard.”
Despite the loss at Barnsley, Pearce was impressed with the Iron saying it was a “positive performance” and they had “good spells in the game”.
The Leeds United loanee is now looking forward to Saturday when he could play in his first Iron game.
Pearce said: “I can’t wait and I am very excited.
“If the gaffer picks me on Saturday, I will be able to show what I can do. I am looking forward to playing in front of the fans.”
However, he knows Accrington will be a difficult match-up, adding: “They are not far off us in the table, so they will probably come here and try to put in a good performance.
“We want to be positive and will take each game as they come, trying to get good results.”
Pearce, who will be with the Iron until the end of the season, wants to impress while with the club.
He said: “I want to make a name for myself, put in good performances and see where it takes me.”
