It seems like a long time since we last welcomed Accrington Stanley to Glanford Park for their one and only previous visit to the stadium - over five years to be precise.
Back in November 2013, the Iron gave an opportunity to Anna Verrico and her young daughter Lucia to deliver the match ball to the referee ahead of the game. Sadly, just three years later, Anna would lose her battle with cancer.
Fast forward to February 2019 and in-between there have been many fundraising events, thousands of pounds raised and a lot of work done by Team Verrico.
Now approaching nine-years-old, Lucia was invited to reprise the role of delivering the match ball to the referee against the side she had done it with her mum back in 2013.
