S2R for Success is a programme where Primary School children enhance their speaking and listening skills through becoming sports reporters.
The programme, which has welcomed a number of schools over the past few years, saw 15 students from John Harrison Church of England Primary School in Barrow Upon Humber put their reporter skills into practise, asking Lewis a series of questions about his career so far.
Each reporter asked at least one question each throughout the interview, with a handful also asking follow-up questions to their original queries.
S2R for Success begins with a stadium tour at Glanford Park before they begin learning about what it takes to be a sports journalist. The students also have an opportunity to gain helpful tips from an individual from the industry, with club media or external media individuals giving some time to show their support to the programme.
Once completed, the students then attend an Iron home game to put their reporting skills into practise before getting to interview a United first team player.
The final stage of the programme is to deliver a presentation to the rest of the class with parents and staff also present. Congratulations to all participants!
