Our third Grassroots Football Day was a record-breaking success at the weekend, with around 70 local junior football teams attending to add over 1,100 to the attendance.
The local teams, who play in the Caparo League, Jack Kalson League, Mid-Lincs Co-op League and Lincolnshire Girls League, were situated in the AMS Stand. Numbers peaked by up to 200 additional bookings compared with those from 2017 and 2018.
All were able to take advantage of our special offer recognising the work that goes into local junior football.
A massive thank you goes to all those teams, the team managers, players, representatives and parents for supporting the initiative and supporting the Iron against Accrington Stanley. It was third time lucky in terms of the result, with both goals scored right in front of the attending teams.

We had a number of prizes on offer in our free prize draw, with the club randomly selecting the winners of the competition. We attached a number to each team and put the parameters into a random number generator to get the results of the competition.
1st - A first team member of backroom staff or first team player attending one of your training sessions
TEAM: 9 - Bottesford Town JPC U8s
2nd - Your team spectating during a first team training session
TEAM: 2 - Winterton Rangers U11s
3rd - First chance to be flag bearers with a fully upgraded package in the 2019-20 campaign
TEAM: 27 - Kirton Lindsey U9s
4th - First chance to book in for a big flag package with a fully upgraded package in the 2019-20 campaign
TEAM: 48 - Messingham Juniors U9s
5th - An opportunity to enjoy group rate prices in one of our final games this season
