The Iron's Under-18s will be hoping to make it seven wins in a row in all competitions when they visit Walsall on Saturday.

The game kicks off at 12noon and will be played at Birmingham County FA Ground, B43 6JF

SCENE-SETTER

United come into the match on the back of a 2-0 away win at Chesterfield in the same competition on Tuesday. Joey Dawson netted twice as the Iron defeated the Spireites in Sheffield.

It was a game that saw Tony Daws' side improve as the match went on, as they weathered an early storm from the Spireites and could have even won more comfortably in the end.

To win Group 4, the Iron need to defeat the Saddlers by two goals or more. The winner of each group, plus the three runners-up with best record (points per match average), will progress through to the next round.

It's the second game of a busy spell for Scunthorpe's Under-18s, who travel to West Bromwich Albion in the FA Youth Cup third round on Tuesday night and then take on Doncaster Rovers away in the league on Saturday, December 14th for their final game before Christmas.

LAST LINE-UP: Collins, Baker, Lobley, D Gallimore, Barks (Train, 62), Kemp, Wilson, Shrimpton, L Gallimore (Wilkinson, 75), Dawson, Jessop (Chadli, 75).

SUBS NOT USED: Balme, Silva.
