Local junior football side Scotter Juniors U9s were able to form a guard of honour for both the Iron and Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.
Twelve players from the side were present to enjoy the experience, which saw them allowed onto the pitch prior to kick-off for a flag bearing experience.
They welcomed both teams onto the pitch, taking advantage of group booking prices, before enjoying the encounter against the Shrews from the Lincolnshire Co-op Family Zone of the SPB Stand.
Prior to the game, the side took advantage of a behind-the-scenes tour opportunity, which allowed them into otherwise restricted areas of the stadium. The group were able to pretend they were being interviewed in front of our press conference boards in the press room, before they gained access to the club's boot room.
The final stop was the home dressing room, where they were able to meet the players, gain autographs and pictures before the tour came to an end.
Following the experience, manager of the side Phil Lowry messaged: "Thank you so much. I have had loads of feedback from the parents, thanking me and wishing to pass on their thanks to the club and team for their friendliness and being so welcoming. The players (of Scotter) had been talking about it all evening to their mums and dads."
