The Iron travel to the Pirelli Stadium this Saturday to take on Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One (kick-off 3pm).
United have won their last two games and most recently defeated Shrewsbury Town at Glanford Park. Lee Novak touched home a Josh Morris cross to get the game’s only goal, giving manager Stuart McCall’s first victory at Glanford Park.
Meanwhile, Burton beat Sunderland in their last league game and then triumphed against Premier League side Burnley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
TEAM NEWS…
Right-back Jordan Clarke will return to the squad after he came through fine in the Iron’s behind-closed-doors match at Doncaster Rovers in the week.
Goalkeepers Matt Gilks (knee) and Rory Watson (arm) remain absent from the squad.
There are no fresh injury concerns for McCall to worry about.
PAST MEETINGS…
Scunthorpe beat Burton the last time the two sides clashed in April 2016, after midfielder Neal Bishop grabbed a winning goal.

Top goalscorer Liam Boyce has six goals for Burton this season in all competitions, so he is one player the Iron need to keep a close eye on.
The forward joined last summer after having a prolific scoring spell at Ross County in Scotland.
Boyce also has 14 international caps for Northern Ireland, scoring once.
