Kevin Johnson will be the man in the middle for the Iron's away league clash against Luton Town.

The Weston-super-Mare-based official will travel to Kenilworth Road for his eleventh game of the campaign and his fifth in Sky Bet League One.

His first game of the campaign was Bradford City's slender 1-0 win at Shrewsbury Town where he issued three yellow cards. Meanwhile, his latest encounter came on September 29th when he showed six cautions in Doncaster Rover's 3-2 away win at Plymouth Argyle.

He's taken charge of the Iron on four occasions in total, most recently in November 2017 when the side beat Charlton Athletic 2-0 at Glanford Park with two wonder strikes from Josh Morris in the space of three second half minutes. On that night, he issued three cautions.

The encounter at Kenilworth Road will be his fifth involving United and third away from home. In the four games refereeing Scunthorpe, he's issued 16 yellow cards and no red.

Meanwhile, he's refereed Luton Town on 14 occasions - their most recent being 2-1 home win against Mansfield Town back in April when he issued six cautions. In total, he's shown 39 yellow cards and three reds in the 14 Hatters games he's been involved in.

In 2017-18, he took charge of 37 games, issuing 111 yellow cards and nine reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in ten encounters, showing 32 yellows and no reds.

On Saturday, Johnson will be assisted by Christoper Kidd and Gregory Read, while Hristo Karaivanov has been appointed as the fourth official.
