The Iron’s Under-18 side were defeated 1-0 by Grimsby Town on Thursday evening.
United, featuring five Under-16s and an Under-15 in their side, put in an excellent performance and did all the right things, but just couldn’t get the ball in the net.
It’s the final game on Saturday, away at Chesterfield (11am) and United will be looking to finish on a high, though recent performances have been very pleasing.
