Olufela Olomola is looking forward to showing what he's capable of after completing a switch to the Iron from Southampton.

The 20-year-old penned a three-year deal with the club to become United’s first summer signing. He spoke to iFollow Iron upon his arrival, providing his thoughts on becoming a Scunthorpe player.

ON JOINING THE CLUB…
OO: I’m absolutely delighted to get it done. This has been something that I’ve wanted to get done for a while now and I’m raring to go. I just want to show everyone what I can do. The club contacted Southampton about me and as soon as I heard Scunthorpe was interested in me, I wanted to get it done.

ON HIS CAPABILITIES AS A PLAYER…
OO: I’m a striker. I like to score goals and I like to create goals as well. I want to work for the team, I’m a winner. I want to win in everything I do and hopefully I can bring that to the team.

ON HIS EXPERIENCE AT SOUTHAMPTON…
OO: It’s been good. Southampton is an amazing club and they’re good with young players. They’ve helped me a lot in my development so far and I owe them a lot. Now I’m at Scunthorpe, I want to come in and show everyone what I can do. This is a great platform for me to show the world what I can do on a first team stage, so I’m raring to go.

ON HIS ASPIRATIONS…
OO: I watched the team in the play-offs and I’ve seen how much the fans get behind the boys as well. It’s really persuaded me to join the club. I just want to get out there. I want to try and get into the team, secure my spot in the team and hopefully I can get goals, because as a striker that’s what you’re on the pitch to do. I’ll try and be the best I can be.
