Scunthorpe United are delighted to unveil the brand new 2018/19 away kit which has been modelled by club legend Alex Calvo-Garcia
The brand new FBT designed and manufactured kit is inspired by the 1998-99 away kit to mark the twentieth anniversary of the season that concluded with one of the most memorable days in the club’s history. The iconic Spaniard scored a 6th minute goal which fired the Iron to promotion in a game that took place under the twin towers of the old Wembley Stadium back in May 1999 and Alex was back at the club this week to help launch the shirt.
The modern version that the Iron will be wearing on the road for the 2018-19 campaign features the yellow body on the front and back with a navy blue shoulder, sleeve and trim. The shorts are navy with a yellow trim and it will be worn with yellow socks.
The kit features Rainham Steel as the returning front of shirt sponsor while Vanilla Solutions will once again feature on the rear of the shirt along with Pepperells Solicitors who will have their newly rebranded logo on the back of the shorts.
The 2018-19 away kit will be available to pre-order online and in-store from 9am on Friday, July 13th, 2018 with them arriving in-store and becoming available for supporters to wear on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 ahead of the first home pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest.
The home kit will be revealed on Thursday, July 12th and will also be available for pre-order on Friday morning before arriving in-store from July 25th. A third kit will be available for the first team to wear this season and this will be revealed ahead of the new season with a limited-edition replica version available later in the season.
