Kevin van Veen's stunning strike helped secure a 2-2 draw at Fleetwood Town.
The hosts took the lead on eight minutes when Eggert Jonsson headed home at the back post.
David Ball doubled Fleetwood's advantage but Scunthorpe's comeback started with Tom Hopper on 63 minutes and ended with Van Veen's effort moments later.
Both sides had chances to win it in a frantic final 20-minute scrap. Jonsson came closest for Fleetwood with another bullet header beaten off the line while Hopper won a goalmouth scramble at the other end only but saw Neal save.

Scunthorpe earned victory at Fleetwood in October 2013, with Sam Winnall's second-half goal enough to seal it.
The woodwork denied Jeff Hughes an opener for Town while also having an effort saved by Sam Slocombe.
Scunthorpe broke the deadlock after Fleetwood took too long to clear and Winnall's shot cannoned off a red shirt and past keeper Scott Davies.
Deon Burton came close to adding a second, sending his effort spinning over the angle.

Fleetwood twice relinquished a lead to draw with the Iron in March 2015.
Jamie Proctor had given the home side an early lead, powering in a header from Nick Haughton's free-kick.
But Gary McSheffrey converted Isaiah Osborne's well-timed pass to level moments before the break.
Josh Morris curled in from the edge of the area to put the hosts back in front, only for George Evans' shot to deflect in for the equaliser.
