The 29-year-old came off the bench to halve the deficit against Rotherham United at Glanford Park at the weekend and gave his pre-match thoughts to iFollow Iron ahead of the trip to the ABAX Stadium.

REFLECTING ON THE ROTHERHAM GAME…
LN: It was a tough one for take. It was a pretty even game between two good teams who will both be up there come the end of the season. It’s a hard one, but we have to move on quickly. They’re up there for a reason and the table doesn’t lie. Rotherham are up there on merit and probably are one of the best teams we have faced, but we more than matched them as well.

ON SCORING AT THE WEEKEND…
LN: It’s always good to score but, in the end, it hasn’t really meant anything. I would have taken not scoring and getting a point or a win. I haven’t started the last few games, so hopefully I’ve come on and made an impression, and hopefully it puts me within a chance of playing. Hops (Tom Hopper) and Ivan (Toney) have been doing well, so I can’t really have any complaints. Both have been doing brilliantly well and for me it’s about being patient and when my chance comes, I’ve got to take it.

PREVIEWING PETERBOROUGH UNITED…
LN: We’ve beaten them already this season, but it was a tough game. It’s going to be a tough place to go to and we have to be more than ready to match them. We take our game to the opponents, do our homework on them and see how we can break them down and hopefully we get a positive result. There are no easy games in this league.

ON WORKING HARD TO GET BACK INTO THE SIDE…
LN: I’ve come back quickly from my (ankle) injury, probably quicker than I thought I would. I got straight back involved and started the game against Bury. I’m just looking to push Hops and Ivan at the minute and hopefully I can get back in the team and, if not, make a positive impact from the bench.
