Antony Coggins to referee Coventry City opener

2 August 2018

Antony Coggins commences his second season as an EFL referee by taking charge of the Iron's trip to Coventry City on Saturday.

He has officiated Scunthorpe just once before - a goalless encounter away at Gillingham - which was incidentally his first ever Sky Bet League One game.

League Two play-off winners Coventry had the official at the helm twice on their travels last season, both of which resulted in victories for the Sky Blues.

Coggins ended last season having taken charge of 34 games in all competitions, showing 87 yellow cards and six reds.

On Saturday, he will be assisted by Ian Dudley and Andrew Hendley, while Declan Bourne is the fourth official.
