Sebastian Stockbridge has been appointed as the referee for the Iron’s Sky Bet League One match at home to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.
The Tyne-based official has refereed five games this season, handing out 11 yellow and zero red cards so far.
He was the referee for United’s 2-1 defeat against AFC Wimbledon in February of last season. Stockbridge gave six yellow cards during that game, two for United players.
The assistant referees will be Paul Thompson and Gareth Mellor, with Michael Denton as the fourth official.
