Graham Alexander’s men will be looking to back up the last two victories with a third successive three points in the league for the second time this season.

In the table, United are placed fifth while the opponents are in 22nd, having won just one league game so far this season.

TEAM NEWS…
Following his substitution on Saturday, Graham Alexander has declared striker Lee Novak fit to travel and be in contention for the match in Kent. The 28-year-old was withdrawn as a precaution with cramp, but on Monday the United boss confirmed he would train and travel with the squad.

Conor Townsend will again sit out the game with a calf injury which saw him miss Saturday's victory over Portsmouth, while Jonathon Margetts (hamstring) and Luke Williams (knee) are still a few weeks away from returning to the squad. Charlie Goode (ankle) will miss the next fortnight too.

Elsewhere, Andrew Crofts has returned to full training after an ankle injury and could be a part of the travelling contingent.

PAST MEETINGS…
The two sides last met in March, with a Josh Wright hat-trick turning around a 2-0 Iron lead into a 3-2 defeat at the Priestfield Stadium.

In the same season, Scunthorpe were victorious by five goals to nil with Kevin van Veen, Josh Morris (2), Jordan Clarke and Tom Hopper all netting.
