Central defender Murray Wallace recognises Rotherham will provide another difficult game when the Iron travel to South Yorkshire on Saturday.
The Scotsman admitted the last couple of performances haven’t been at the standard he knows the rest of the squad can play at, therefore he is looking to pick up three points this weekend.
Speaking to iFollow Iron, Wallace previewed the game and looked back at the season so far.
ON THE ROTHERHAM CLASH…
MW: I think it will be a tough game. Every game in this league is going to be tough. It’s just important that we bounce back and put in the sort of performance we know we are capable of. It’s tough going away to any team in this division, so going there and getting a good result would be good for the club.
ON LOOKING FOR POSITIVE RESULTS AGAIN…
MW: You’re going to get beat throughout the season, it’s almost impossible to avoid that, but we’ve just got to go back to what we’ve been good at and remind of ourselves of that and try and implement it.

ON PREPARING FOR A CLOSE AWAY GAME…
MW: For the longer trips you travel down the day before. That side of it is a bit different, but in terms of the training and preparation that we do, it will be the same.
ON THE SEASON SO FAR…
MW: I think we’ve started okay. The past couple of results haven’t been great, but I think it’s more the performances that have been disappointing for us. We all set ourselves targets and where we want to be. If you are ahead of behind your targets, you cannot let it affect you too much.
ON THE GOOD DEFENSIVE RECORD…
MW: We need to be defensively strong every week. Going into the Wigan game, we both had the strongest defences in the league. It’s a nice stat to have, but it doesn’t count for anything on the day.
ON THE IRON FANS…
MW: We’ve got quite a good away following. Sheffield United away sticks out of my mind where we took so many fans. It’s a real boost for us.
