It’s the first of two home games in the space of four days, and manager Graham Alexander will be looking to build on an improved performance in Saturday’s game at Rotherham.

Though United lost the match, there was lots to be encouraged by, and they face a Fleetwood team who drew 2-2 at home to Rochdale at the weekend.

TEAM NEWS…
Alexander confirmed no fresh injury worries ahead of the game, although he said there were ‘one or two’ bumps and bruises after the Rotherham clash.

He said he will have the same squad to choose from as for the match against the Millers.

Tom Hopper is a doubt for the game, and will be assessed in training on Monday.

Long-term absentees Jonathon Margetts and Luke Williams will still be out injured. Clayton Lewis still needs time to be brought up to speed so he can play competitive games.

PAST MEETINGS…
Though United put in an excellent performance, they were beaten 2-0 by Fleetwood in their last match against the Cod Army.

Deviant Cole and Bobby Grant scored the goals, although Stephen Dawson has an overhead kick controversially ruled out during a dominant spell for Scunthorpe.
