Michael Salisbury has been appointed as the referee for the Iron’s Sky Bet League One match at Sixfields Stadium, when they play Northampton Town for the third time in a fortnight.
He was the referee for United’s opening game of the season against AFC Wimbledon, which finished 1-1. Conor Townsend scored a long-range strike during the first half, while Salisbury only handed out one yellow card to an opposing player.
Salisbury’s last game was on Wednesday night when Peterborough United beat Tranmere Rovers 5-0 in an FA Cup replay. He produced three yellow cards and one red in that game.
Furthermore, he has been the match official for 15 games this season, producing 37 yellow cards and two reds.
The assistant referees will be David Plowright and Darren Wilding, with Josh Smith as the fourth official.
