Lewis becomes the Iron's tenth capped player

12 November 2017

Midfielder Clayton Lewis’ appearance for New Zealand on Saturday afternoon (03.15am UK time) brings the Iron to double figures in terms of internationally capped players while with the Iron.

The 20-year-old earned his 12th cap for the All Whites and his first since signing for Scunthorpe. He is the third New Zealander to represent his country while domestically donning claret and blue with Jason Batty and David Mulligan preceding him.

He played 74 minutes in their goalless draw, leaving the game poised for the second leg where Lewis will be in line to earn his 13th cap on Wednesday, November 15th (02.15am UK time, Thursday, November 16th).
