The Iron's academy are to commence their Development Centres across six venues from this week.
Held in Barton, Caistor, Brigg, Winterton, Scunthorpe and Goole, the aim of the development centre sessions are to provide players with structured coaching sessions and enhance their football skills.
The centres also help the academy to identify and produce players to represent Scunthorpe United Academy.
The sessions will run during the school term time and parents are welcome to stay and watch. There will be no coaching sessions during the school holidays.
Any players that show outstanding individual talent will be invited to train and/or trial with our current Academy squads.
There is no official assessment of players at any of our development Centres.
All of our Academy coaches have Enhanced CRB disclosures, have a child protection/safeguarding children certificate, are emergency aid trained and are Football Association qualified coaches.
To book a place, parents must download and complete an application form and email back to matt.chatfield@scunthorpe-united.co.uk before the course starts.
