The Iron travel to the Kassam Stadium this Saturday, as they take on Oxford United in Sky Bet League One.
Graham Alexander’s men go into the game on the back of a confidence boosting victory in dramatic fashion against Rochdale during the week - a result they’ll be looking to build on.
Sam Mantom (groin) and Conor Townsend (thigh strain) will be two definite omissions from Saturday’s matchday squad.
However, Josh Morris could be in contention following his ankle gash, with Kevin van Veen a doubt after tweaking his hamstring in the midweek win over Rochdale.
Oxford got the better of Alexander’s side in the two teams’ last meeting, as they emerged 4-1 victors in the Checkatrade Trophy back in January.
It was the Iron who broke the deadlock at the Kassam Stadium, with Luke Williams winning and subsequently converting a penalty just after the ten minute mark.
However, Michael Appleton’s U’s soon restored parity, as Marvin Johnson fired home from close range following a run into the box.
The hosts completed the turnaround just four minutes later, and Kane Hemmings would open his account for the night - slotting home neatly inside the area.
Craig Davies agonisingly saw his header fly wide on the stroke of half-time, before Williams struck over after a superb piece of individual play.
Hemmings doubled his tally five minutes into the second period though, repeating the feat of Williams and dispatching from 12 yards.
The frontman then completed his and Oxford’s scoring for the night, as he tucked home a cross from the right in stoppage time.
