The Iron make their second trip south in a week, as they head to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium to face Gillingham.
Saturday’s fixtures see United enter into their final ten matches of the Sky Bet League One campaign, with everything still firmly up for grabs.
Adrian Pennock’s side come into the game on the back of a 2-1 away victory last time out against Bury, with Bradley Dack and Cody McDonald earning the Gills all three points.
Scunthorpe boss Graham Alexander revealed Josh Morris has had an x-ray after sustaining a gash to his ankle in the midweek encounter with Charlton Athletic.
Alexander also added that Morris, along with Conor Townsend (thigh strain) and Sam Mantom (groin), are all doubts for Saturday’s trip to Kent.
United ran riot in the two teams’ last meeting, as they romped to a 5-0 home win back in August.
Kevin van Veen's long-range shot on four minutes set the tone, and proved too hot to handle for Gills 'keeper Stuart Nelson, who agonisingly fumbled the ball into his own net.
Josh Morris won and converted a penalty to double the advantage before Jordan Clarke was unmarked just prior to the interval, with the full-back duly making it three.
Morris doubled his tally after the break as he fired home from 25 yards, with Tom Hopper stealing in following terrific work from Hakeeb Adelakun to make it five.
