BANKES TO REFEREE FLEETWOOD TOWN CLASH

3 March 2017

Peter Bankes will referee the Iron’s clash with Fleetwood Town at Glanford Park on Saturday afternoon.

Bankes has taken charge of 29 matches so far this season and, in those, he’s produced 106 yellow and 10 red cards.

He last officiated a Scunthorpe match in November of 2015, when the Iron emerged victorious over Southend United in the Emirates FA Cup.

Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, Bankes was the man in the middle on 38 occasions, cautioning 153 players and sending off five.

He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Michael George and Mark Jones, with Ricky Wootton taking up the role of fourth official.
