By his own admission, new defender Cameron Burgess is settling into life at Glanford Park, stating that his teammates have been very welcoming during his opening couple of days.
The former Fulham centre-half penned a deal with the Iron in the close season and met up with his new colleagues on Tuesday for the first time.
He then spoke to the club on iFollow Iron for the first time on Wednesday about his opening two days at the club.
ON HIS WELCOME AND FIRST TWO DAYS...
CB: It's gone really well. All of the lads have been brand new with me and have been very welcoming. I've had chance to see how the club is run and it has been a tough couple of days, but it has been good to get involved. Testing was good on the first day and it was a good, tough session on Wednesday.
ON HIS NEW TEAMMATES...
CB: There's a good bunch of lads here and they're all up for a laugh. When it comes to training, everyone is ready to work and to work hard, so it's been really good. It's very competitive and I knew that coming into the club and that's what I want.
ON THE HARD WORK AHEAD...
CB: It's been nice to have the balls out on day two. We have to do the hard work first in terms of the running and it's nice to kick a ball again after the summer off.
ON LOOKING FORWARD TO THE LEAGUE SEASON...
CB: I've seen a few things on Twitter and it's nice to look forward to the first game of the season being at home. I can't wait to get started. We all want to be out there playing football!
