With the second full day now complete in Obertraun, our attention swings towards Tuesday and the first of two games to be played while here in Austria.
The day followed the same protocol as the previous one, with a 6.30am start (5.30am UK time) followed by a futher three sessions throughout the day - the training day drawing to a conclusion at 6.15pm (5.15pm UK time).
The hard work continues...
If anything, the Iron have stepped it up this year. The early morning runs / bike rides are longer, the sessions are intense and tough and the output of the players has seemingly increased.
Comparing it to last year also, was Murray Wallace, who we spoke to for iFollow Iron and also live on Facebook.
The heat doesn't help...
After having solid heat 12 months ago for the first few days, the weather soon turned to rain and thunderstorms in the latter part of the week.
Many of the Iron players might not want a continuation of the current heat as temperatures reached 27 degrees today, but I would imagine many would require a happy medium between the two extremes.
Looking at the forecast, the heat is set to continue (and get hotter) although a threat of thunderstorms is prominent for the end of the week.
Tomorrow is match day...
It has become a mini target for the players to get to the first of two friendlies out here in Austria as they negotiated the first two days.
Tuesday will bring another early wake-up call for a run or bike ride, following by a single morning session. United will then recover during the afternoon in preparation for the visit of SK Strobl.
If you are in Austria, or were planning to attend the game, it's important to note the venue has changed. See here for details.
The encounter will take place on training pitch two of the BSFZ Obertraun facility, with our opposition travelling to us after the original venue was deemed unfit to host the fixture.
Match coverage to follow...
We will bring you full coverage of the encounter between Scunthorpe United and SK Strobl on all social media platforms, including full reaction and highlights following the game.
