Graham Horwood will referee the Iron’s away fixture with Northampton Town at the Sixfields Stadium on Saturday.
Horwood has taken charge of 20 matches so far this season, producing 79 yellow cards and dismissing five players.Throughout the last campaign, the man from Luton officiated 12 games and, in those, he cautioned 46 players and sent off four.
He last refereed a United match back in 2013, when Scunthorpe played out a 1-1 draw with Newport County at Glanford Park.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Gavin Muge and David Plowright, with Declan Bourne taking up the role of fourth official.
