The Iron are in Checkatrade Trophy third round action when they face Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Both sides go into the fixture following positive results at the weekend, with the U’s triumphing against Championship side Rotherham United in the FA Cup.
Graham Alexander’s team will be buoyed though by their 3-2 home victory over Bury, which saw Scunthorpe rise back into the automatic promotion spots in Sky Bet League One.
Alexander revealed he’ll make changes for the game, to give an opportunity to those who’ve been pushing for a starting spot.
He also added that he’s not sure whether to include new signing Craig Davies from the start, given the forward’s lack of regular football recently.
This will be the second encounter between the two sides this season, after a 1-1 draw at Glanford Park back in November.
Duane Holmes put the home side ahead in the opening period, as he glanced Josh Morris’ dinked cross into the far corner of the goal.
Phil Edwards levelled things up for Oxford though, as he stole a yard at the near post to equalise with a header of his own early in the second half.
