A TRIBUTE TO VICE PRESIDENT GRAHAM TAYLOR OBE

27 January 2017

The Iron will be paying tribute to Vice President Graham Taylor OBE, who passed away aged 72 earlier this month.

A minute's applause will be held ahead of Scunthorpe's home league encounter with Port Vale on Saturday, with a further applause on 72 minutes also encouraged to celebrate his life and contribution to both the club and football in general.

Graham's wife, Rita, and members of his family will be in attendance as guests of honour.

The club will also be paying tribute in this weekend’s edition of our matchday magazine, "The Iron". The former England manager is remembered on both the front and back cover, with a special four-page tribute within the publication.

The club have also invited representatives from Lincolnshire House, a registered charity based in Scunthorpe of which Graham was the Patron of since 2006, as special guests to the game.

Volunteers will also be conducting a bucket collection, with all money raised split between the local charity’s WISH Appeal and powerchair football.

Supporters can also donate online by visiting https://mydonate.bt.com/charities/thewishappeal.
