Mike Jones will referee the Iron’s away clash with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Jones has so far officiated 21 matches this season and, in those, he’s shown 77 yellow and three red cards.Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, Jones was the man in the middle for 40 fixtures, cautioning 131 players and dismissing three.
The man from Chester last officiated a Scunthorpe match back in 2009, when the Iron travelled to Peterborough United.
He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Derek Eaton and Mark Scholes, with Chris Sarginson taking up the role of fourth official.
