Despite being knocked out of the FA Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy in their last couple of games, Scunthorpe are still in fine form in the league, winning their last six games.
Walsall were also knocked out of the Checkatrade Trophy, losing to Bury 2-1, but they have picked up two victories in their last two league games.
TEAM NEWS…
Right-back Jordan Clarke will not be available for Graham Alexander. The manager confirmed that he will be out for a while with a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, midfielder Funso Ojo could return to the side after sitting out the last two matches, depending on how his training goes.
However, the long-term absentees (Sam Manton, Jonathon Margetts and Luke Williams) will again be missing, with Alexander hopeful that some of them could return early in the New Year.

Although earlier in the season, the Iron defeated the Saddlers 4-1 away from home. Josh Morris netted a hat-trick in that game, with the other goal being scored by Neal Bishop.

Walsall’s attacking midfielder Erhun Oztumer will be one the Iron defence need to keep an eye on.
The former Peterborough player has scored a goal in each of their last three games, taking his total up to ten for the season.
Having only joined the West Midlands side at the beginning of last season, he has already scored 25 goals in 69 games from midfield.
