After winning six league games in a row, United couldn’t continue their fine form when they lost 1-0 at Walsall last weekend.

Meanwhile, the Dons drew 1-1 at home against Shrewsbury Town, conceding a late equaliser in that game.

Manager Graham Alexander confirmed in his pre-match interview that he is not expecting any of the injured players to return to the squad for this weekend, and will have the same group of players available to him as the last game.

He is hopeful that Funso Ojo will return to training next week, while striker Lee Novak is still a few weeks away.

Long-term absentees Sam Mantom and Luke Williams are still on track to return in the New Year, however Jonathon Margetts and Jordan Clarke are still a while from returning.

In the last meeting, the Iron defeated MK Dons 1-0 courtesy of an Ivan Toney first half goal.

Before that, Alexander’s side turned around a 1-0 deficit to beat the Dons 2-1, with Paddy Madden grabbing two goals for himself.

Ex-Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke is a player the Iron need to look out for.

The forward has eight goals in an MK Dons shirt from 23 starts, including four strikes this season.

Before joining the Buckinghamshire side, he spent a couple of seasons at Zulte Waregem in Belgium and several years on loan at Crewe, Preston and Stevenage.
