So far, Scunthorpe have recorded two draws, but the 24-year-old wants to get three points on the board when Oxford visit Glanford Park this Saturday.

Speaking to iFollow Iron, he reflected on last weekend’s game at Rochdale whilst previewing the upcoming match.

ON THE OXFORD GAME…
MW: We have got to fancy ourselves at home, they’re coming to us full of confidence. They’ve started the season well. We’re undefeated, but draws aren’t great in this division. Hopefully we will get the three points and kickstart our season. I think they will be different to last year, we played them three times, but obviously players have left, new players have come in and they've changed the manager. I imagine they will be a different team.

"It’s the same with a win, hopefully it can kickstart us and we can get a clean sheet, making Glanford Park a fortress."

ON DRAWING AWAY AT ROCHDALE…
MW: It’s always tough going to Rochdale, we found that out last season. With how we played, we might have deserved to nick a win there, but we’re undefeated and have got to take the positives.

ON WANTING TO KEEP A CLEAN SHEET…
MW: It’s massive to get. It’s the same with a win, hopefully it can kickstart us and we can get a clean sheet, making Glanford Park a fortress.

ON THE SUBSTITUTES' IMPACT…
MW: It comes down to the quality and depth we have got in the squad. We’ve got a number of players that can come off the bench and change a game. Fair play to them for coming off the bench and being ready and doing that for us.
