Christopher Sarginson will referee United’s home clash with Charlton Athletic at Glanford Park.
Sarginson last refereed an Iron match in January, when Scunthorpe drew 1-1 at home to Wigan Athletic.Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, the Staffordshire official showed 91 yellow and two red cards in the 31 games he was the man in the middle for.
He’s already took charge of an Addicks match this season, when Russell Slade’s side beat Walsall 2-1 in August.
Sarginson will be joined by assistant referees Marc Edwards and Duncan Street, with Wayne Grunnill taking up the role of fourth official.
