Darren Deadman will referee the Iron's home encounter with Sheffield United this Saturday.
Deadman, who last refereed Scunthorpe in March of this year, officiated 36 matches last season, and produced 101 yellow and three red cards.So far this season, the Cambridgeshire official has been the man in middle for seven matches, with him showing 25 yellow cards and not dismissing anyone as of yet.
He last refereed the Blades on the opening day of the 2015-16 campaign - when they were 2-0 victors over Blackpool at Bramall Lane.
He will be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Bob Roberts and Ian Smedley, with Alan Clayton taking up the position of fourth official.
