Nigel Miller will referee United’s Checkatrade Trophy encounter with Shrewsbury Town at Glanford Park on Tuesday night.
Miller last refereed the Iron back in 2015, in a 2-2 draw away at Fleetwood Town.So far this season, the man from County Durham has produced nine yellow and two red cards in the seven matches he’s officiated.
In the 2015-16 campaign, Miller took charge of 32 games, and cautioned 82 players, dismissing three.
He’ll be joined on Tuesday by assistant referees James Bell and Glen Hart, with Paul Thompson taking up the position of fourth official.
